Lorraine's Experience

Lorraine Forehead trained as a Specialist Teacher and Assessor at The Helen Arkell Dyslexia Centre.

Her experience includes:

-	over 20 years teaching and assessing individuals with Specific Learning Difficulties across the age range, from primary school age to adults.
-	Working as a Disabled Students' Allowance (DSA) Needs Assessor.
-	Carrying out Workplace Needs Assessments (WNA).

Lorraine's expertise includes:

-	The use of multisensory methods to teach reading and spelling skills.
-	Study Skills Support for older students.
-	1:1 online tutoring - 1st session free.
-	A consultancy and training service for schools and the workplace. (All training services are tailored to the needs of the establishment.)

Lorraine holds approved qualifications (see below), is registered with PATOSS and holds a current Assessment Practising Certificate (APC). She holds professional memberships and practises as an independent assessor, and was an Associate Assessor for the British Dyslexia Association. She has an up-to-date DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check.
